The National Hospital Football Team has organized a farewell football match in honour of Dr Jaf Momoh, the Chief Medical Director and Chief Executive Officer of the hospital for his meritorious service to the organisation. The football match which was held at the FIFA National stadium Abuja was between the Jaf Momoh Team Players, and the Friend Of National Hospital Team Abuja.
The team players ranged between 60 years of age and above, though with some youthful attackers and team players on the pitch.
The Director of Clinical Services Dr Aisha Umar, said the exercise is critical to the health of every individual.
“We decided to practice what we advise our patients daily. We had to bring out the team to honour the Chief Medical Director. This is a great development. It is also a way of showing the staff of the hospital as well as our friends that exercising is a very useful act”. She added.
The spokesman of National Hospital, Dr Tayo Haastrup commended the outgoing Chief Medical Director, Dr Jaf Momoh for always putting the welfare of the staff at the forefront.
“He has been with us for eight years and recorded a lot of outstanding achievements during his time, and we thank God that he is bowing out of the system in a very fantastic way.”
“All the staff as you can see are excited to witness the football match between friends of Momoh, Super Eagles All-Stars, as well as the National Hospital team and FMC Keffi.”
