The Road Traffic Officers and Vehicle inspection Mayors are to induct members at a special event on the 11 of June 2022 to further complement the efforts of the road traffic officers, and vehicle inspection offices in traffic control and enforcement.
The Squadron Leader for Fct and National Coordinator, Dr Yusuf John Suberu, made this known during a media briefing with media outfits.
The event which will also attract honouring of outstanding Nigerians who have contributed to nation-building and development is fashioned out to cut across the governmental, private sector, security and political circle.
The programme is also expected to have the attendance of the FCT Commissioner of Police, FCT Minister, FCT DRTS, Director as well as Heads of other sister security agencies.
Dr Suberu emphasized that traffic is the business of everyone.
“This is why every Nigerian must volunteer to join the VIO mayors to ensure free flow of traffic, adherence to traffic rules and compliance. Dr Suberu is only the leader but collectively we can do it.”
“This induction and award ceremony shall further motivate Nigerians to see the need to contribute to traffic issues as deliberations as well as goodwill messages from personalities will make us know the reward of volunteerism in traffic issues.”
“Nigeria as an emerging nation has numerous traffic challenges due to development which I am optimistic that our contribution can go a long way.”
