The Board Member of Nigerian American Chamber of Commerce(NACC), Ambassador Adebayo Idowu said there is need to add value to our primary products for exportation in order to improve the country’s exchange rate.
He made the statement during the NACC Abuja Chapter meeting in Abuja.
While making his presentation he said different exporter banks are ready and willing to support exporters in taking their goods out of the country.
He commended the chapter president for rejuvenating the Abuja chapter back to life.
The Ambassador encouraged the team to be committed and determined in achieving the set objectives and goals.
“There are lot of opportunities for the exportation of cashew nut. We want all the members to support the leaders to leverage on exportation opportunities to America and other countries”.
” The impact of our association need to reflect in other parts of the economy.
We want to see impact manifesting in political, social and commercialization aspect of economy. There is need to improve on the commercial framework of the organization”.
The Foundation chairman of the Abuja Chapter of the Nigerian – American Chamber of Commerce, Prince Seyi Lufadeju urged members to leverage on series of opportunities such as trade, commerce, import and export.
He added that all the team members need to support each other to engage in capacity building that will improve the economic power of the group.
The Director, Abuja Office of Nigeria Shippers Council, Mrs Karimatu Othman urged the leaders of the Abuja chapter of NACC to engage in mentorship and empowerment program for manufacturers and those into exportation of food items.
“Nigerians are smart people, when they are given the right information they perform effectively.The chamber is a credible brand that should be projected well”.
