The Tricycle owners association of Nigeria Apo branch has distanced itself from a petition credited to one of the factions which passed a vote of no confidence on the combined joint operations agencies of the fct ministerial joint task force made up of the Vio, Civil defence, immigration, and the police.
The branch chairman, Jamilu Idris Abdullahi expressed dismay on the petition which was done by a faction that lacks their support.
“The MJTF has never extorted us nor maltreated our members as cordial relation and mutual understanding exists between us. We are therefore affirming our support to the MJTF, CP FCT immigration Civil defense, and heads of other security agencies in the FCT. We want to assure them of our cooperation. There is no way the union can survive without the security agencies as their operations are for the interest of our association.”
As the year comes to an end, we urge the general public to patronize us for safety. We want to particularly commend the DRTS director Wadata Aliyu Dogo Bodinga, the MJTF team leader Shehu Adam and the entire team for their operational tactics that have helped to curb illegal route plying and illegal parking by unregistered tricycle operators. We also want to thank the FCT Minister for his recent organizing of transport stakeholders conference organized to create a platform for sharing and exchanging of ideas.
