
The socio cultural forum for Yoruba speaking people gathered at the prestigious fct resource centre auditorium in Abuja to celebrate end of year party.
Speaking at the ocassion,Mr. Babatunde Aregbesola Adewumi PHD emphasised that the forum decided to hold the event in order to bring together all Yoruba inthe fct inorder to promote unity, developmental strides and oneness.
He stated that the Yoruba race after the demise of Awolowo has been battling to unite themselves wherever they are hence the need for the forum that he is optimistic could change the course of all descendants of Oduduwa living in Abuja. He commended all members of the forum and thanked God for making them to start from January and end in December without any danger. President of the forum, Mr Richard Oyebode advised members to be committed tothe course of protecting the interest of Yoruba wherever they find themselves as there is no place like home. He urged them to support whoever God destines to lead Nigeria as the 2023 presidential election draws nearer. He said as a people,their interest should focus towards following what is right and beneficial for the upliftment and development of the Yoruba tribe. He unveiled some of the steps taken to secure land for the purpose of building a befitting office for the forum in Abuja.
