
Edo State Commissioner of Police, Phillip Ogbadu, yesterday presented N1 million cheque to each family of four slain policemen.
Rufus Ojo Kosemani, a divisional police officer; Justina Aghomo; Isaac Sadoh; and Glory David were killed on March 12, 2019 by gunmen at Afuze in Owan East council of the state, when their station was attacked and razed.
Ogbadu said the money was provided by the Godwin Obaseki’s administration in fulfilment of a promise made to members of the families of the policemen.
The CP also said the burnt police station has been rebuilt by the state government and being used.
Widow of the slain DPO, Mary, thanked Obaseki for the assistance, but pleaded for more in order to take care of her four children.
