Christians have been charged to give praise to God at all times irrespective of what is going on in the country. Rev Jacob Bamidele Ibikunle stated this at the closing service of the 4th Synod at St Timothy Anglican church, Idiroko Ota Ogun state.
He urged all believers to be thankful to God, as Christ has mandated all Christians.
While reading the text from Psalm 150, he charged all the congregation to praise God for his surpassing greatness.
“Praise the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary. Praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. “.
During the prayer session, the congregation interceded for the nation, and also for individuals, that the peace of God that surpass all understanding would reign in our land.
Earlier on Friday, the clergy spoke about how COVID-19 affected the body of Christ, and the celebration could not hold last year.
Ven. Nelson Adewole during the announcement disclosed that Rev Akin Atere led members of the chaplaincy earlier in the year to visit industries and some communities in Ota, and its environment to spread the message of love to the people.
“Testimonies of the impact of the prayers were stated by the members of the industries and community members. The people visited joyfully received the message of hope and peace spread by the church members”.
