The Chairman of the House Committee on abadoned project, Hon Makki Abubakar,
has vowed to track all abandoned project in the country to ensure its completion.
He stated this in Abuja.
According to him, the committee was set up to investigate, execute, fund and repeat capital projects in appropriation act.
The House of Representatives member also noted there are many abandoned projects in the annual budgets scattered across the country.
“The committee would engage the services of consultants to help track and aggregate all abandoned projects in the country.”
A member of the committee, Francis Ottah Agho observed that there are many duplicated projects.
“The sad part about the whole issue is that report from Ministry Departments Agency (MDA) are different from what is on ground, for people to see and the committee will ensure such projects were identified and completed through parliamentary intervention.”
