The Federal Government has declared Thursday October 22nd, as public holiday to mark this year’s Eid-el Maulud celebration.
Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola made the disclosure on behalf of the Federal Government.
The holiday is in commemoration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.
He made the disclosure in a statement by the spokesman, of the Ministry of Interior, Mohammed Manga.
The Minister urged the Muslim faithfuls to abhor violence, lawlessness, wantonness and robbery as witnessed across the country most recently
” Our country is the pride of the black race and should provide responsible leadership for the greatness and development of the African continent and all black people.”
He congratulated the Muslim faithful both at home and abroad for witnessing this year’s occasion
