The National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives has started mobilization and sensitization of it’s members towards an upcoming warning strike .
In a memo dated 16th September, and signed by the General Secretary of the association , T. A.Shettima.
The Nursing Association citing a communique issued by the central working committee of NLC, noted that a 14 days optimum has been giving as warning strike to the Federal Government.
“The meeting resolved to issue a 14 days ultimatum to the Federal government, with which to reverse the increase or face an indefinite strike”.
“Some of the other issues raised were the hike in the price of Petroleum Motor Spirit (PMS), and the outrageous increase in electricity tariff”.
